Rally to the Blue April 30, 2017
Mike Collier addresses the group
Approximately 225 Sun City Democrats, Georgetown community members, and assorted candidates assembled at the IMPACT fundraiser Rally to the Blue on April 30 — a first step in raising funds to elect Democrats in the 2018 elections. Mike Collier spoke about his bid for Lt. Governor, and Jim Hightower reminded all that persistence counts when he said, “the early bird may get the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.” George Wagner was honored.

George Wagner, left, and wife Maria. George was honored for his part in founding the Sun City Democrats, his unceasing work for the club, plus his decades of mentoring in the GiSD schools. A new middle school will bear his name.
Mike Collier is running for Lt. Governor in 2018. He is a CPA, worked for Price Waterhouse, and described how he “follows the money”. He thinks more should go to education instead of corporations.
